GP Fees and Billing Information – MyClinic Prahran

MyClinic Prahran provides consulting facilities and administrative support services to independent General Practitioners who consult from the premises.

Each practitioner provides medical services directly to their patients and determines their own fees and billing arrangements. The fees shown below are provided as a general guide and may vary depending on the practitioner, appointment type and medical service.

Patients should check their practitioner’s current billing information when booking or contact reception if they require assistance with fee information.

Bulk Billing Appointments in Prahran

Independent doctors consulting at MyClinic Prahran may offer bulk billing for eligible patients and certain appointment types. Bulk billing arrangements are determined by the individual practitioner and may vary between doctors.

Depending on the individual practitioner, bulk billing may be available for eligible patients and appointment types including:

• Children up to and including 18 years of age

• Pension Card holders

• Health Care Card holders

• Health assessments

• Chronic condition management plans

• Mental health care plans

• Repeat prescription appointments

• Medical certificate appointments

• Eligible immunisation appointments

A current Medicare card and any applicable concession card should be presented. Eligibility for bulk billing is determined by the individual practitioner and may depend on the patient, appointment type and medical service provided. Patients should check their practitioner’s billing information when booking or contact reception for assistance.

Some vaccines, procedures, medications and consumables may involve an additional charge, even when the consultation is bulk billed.

Cancellation and Payment Information

One hour minimum notice is required for a cancellation of a scheduled appointment. Otherwise you will be charged a late cancellation/DNA fee of $65.00. The cancellation fee is not Medicare rebatable.

Please be advised that there will be an additional fee of $15 payable to the practice for any outstanding balances not paid on the day of service. This is to cover the administrative costs to the practice associated with following up on your doctor’s behalf for unpaid accounts. 

Some procedures involve extra costs that your doctor will discuss with you.  

We do not provide facilities to accept cash on your doctor’s behalf or generally within the clinic, so please ensure you bring your card with you to your appointment.
