Hi, I’m Dr Michael Waechter, a General Practitioner with over 30 years of experience in family medicine. I completed my medical degree (MBBS) at Melbourne University in 1992 and hold a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

My clinical interests include WorkCover cases, mental health, paediatrics, skin checks, and performing minor procedures. I take a practical, patient-first approach to care—listening carefully, thinking clearly, and working with patients to find the best path forward for their health.

What I enjoy most about being a GP is meeting people from all walks of life and tackling the wide variety of medical challenges each day brings. No two days are the same, and that’s what keeps the work stimulating.
